    Terms

The agreement for Sjift, your team and the knowledge of your business.

    The agreement

These terms apply between Sjift, operating from the Netherlands, and the organisation using Sjift. Anyone activating an account for an organisation confirms they are authorised to do so. You accept these terms when signing up. Questions can be sent to team@sjift.app.

    What Sjift is

Sjift is AI software that helps your business capture, enrich and use knowledge through Teach, Practice and Ask. The virtual intern is our metaphor: Sjift is not a person, employee or staffing service.

AI can make mistakes. Photo recognition and internet information are proposals, not guarantees. Authorised people review and confirm business knowledge; your team can add corrections. Your organisation remains responsible for important decisions, safety instructions and professional obligations.

    Signup and access

You can create a personal account and confirm your email address. You can then try the bounded introduction or set up your own business. You can also accept an invitation to an existing business. Accounts are personal; keep your sign-in details secure.

The introduction has limits on photos and AI turns. Its content is not saved as business knowledge. Setting up your own business is a separate step.

    Free trial

The free trial lasts up to 14 days from when your completed business setup becomes active or you accept a prepared business as its owner. Signup and preparation do not by themselves start the trial.

The trial includes limited free usage. If that allowance is used earlier, AI features pause earlier. The trial therefore ends after 14 days or when the included usage runs out, whichever comes first. Saved business knowledge remains available to read.

No payment details are required for the trial. It does not create an automatic subscription or payment obligation. Continuing with paid use is an explicit choice.

    Membership and Energy

    • Membership costs €25 per month per business, including five people in the system. Each additional person costs €2.50 per month. These prices exclude VAT; applicable VAT is shown at checkout.
    • Payments take place on the website. Membership renews monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; the current month is not refunded and no subsequent subscription months are charged.
    • AI usage is paid separately from prepaid Energy. Each top-up can be €50 to €500. Energy is displayed as a percentage in the app.
    • Unused free trial credit expires when an active membership begins. Previously paid credit remains. Top-ups are separate purchases and do not happen automatically.
    • A failed payment may pause paid use; we inform you. We give at least thirty days’ notice of price changes.

    Your team

Authorised managers invite people, set their permissions and can end access or set an end date. Your organisation informs its team about using Sjift and is responsible for the data it adds.

When access ends, that person can no longer enter the business. They can request deletion of their own account. Contributions incorporated into business knowledge remain with the organisation; personal details within them can be corrected or removed where required.

Website, home screen and App Store

Sjift is currently available as a web app and can be added to a home screen. We are working towards an App Store version; these terms promise no release date or approval by Apple. Membership and Energy are currently paid for on the website. Any future store-specific terms will be stated with that version.

Removing the app or home-screen icon does not cancel membership or delete an account. These are separate actions.

    Your material

Material you add remains the property of your organisation or its rights holder. You permit Sjift to store it, show it to authorised people and process it for the service, including processing relevant parts through our service providers.

Business knowledge is not shared with other businesses or used by Sjift to train public AI models. The privacy policy explains processing by service providers.

    Responsible use

    • Add only material you may lawfully use, including photos, documents and recordings.
    • Inform people involved and obtain required consent or another valid legal basis before recording them or adding their personal data.
    • Use Sjift for your own organisation; do not resell access or share personal accounts.
    • Attempts to bypass security or usage limits, overload the service or use it unlawfully may lead to restricted or terminated access.

    Clearing, restarting and leaving

The main manager can choose a fresh knowledge start, business deletion or deletion of their own account in Settings. A fresh start keeps the business and team and does not restart the trial.

When an account is deleted, contributions to an existing or transferred business may remain as business knowledge. Review each deletion confirmation: clearing knowledge, deleting a business, deleting your account and cancelling membership have different effects. The privacy policy describes deletion requests and legal retention obligations.

    Availability and our rights

Sjift retains its software, brand and design. You receive a right to use the service. We work to provide a reliable service; maintenance, faults and dependencies on providers can cause interruptions.

    Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid to Sjift in the three months preceding the event. Indirect losses, such as lost revenue, are excluded. This does not limit liability that cannot legally be excluded, including intent or gross negligence.

Your organisation remains responsible for decisions and advice based on Sjift. To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify Sjift against third-party claims arising from unlawfully added material or your use in breach of these terms.

    Changes and governing law

We give at least thirty days’ notice of material changes. You may cancel before they take effect. Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent Dutch court unless mandatory law requires another court.
